Drink as if your life depends on it

There has been quite a bit of discussion lately about what we drink through the day. I've heard people say "it's so hard not to drink soda-I can't just drink water all day"-why not? I find it interesting whenever people make the "I can't" argument. There are so many alternatives to soda-it should be the last choice on your list. We've talked about what sugar can do and I know you know soda has a ton of it. But lets not forget the acidity it has and what it does to our teeth and our poor little tummies. Soda has an acid called Phosphoric Acid. Phosphoric acid neutralizes the hydrochloric acid in your stomach, which can interfere with digestion, making it difficult to utilize nutrients and also depleting bones from calcium....Yum!

Everything in moderation right? Someone once said to me, "if you learn something is bad for you, why would you continue to still take it?" It's so simple and so true. There is no need for a moderate amount of soda. Here is a list of my favorite alternatives:

1-Coconut water-Research all the benefits for it- it's A-mazing!
2-Herbal tea-Drink it hot or cold through the day. There are so many different flavors you'll never get bored!
3-Water-Add a slice of orange or lemon to it to make it jazzy!
4-Carrot juice (I'm not a big juice fan, but if you need something sweet try the juices w/no sugar added. Not 'sugar free', but without additives)
5-Pure cranberry juice
6-Lemonade-instead of sugar add a bit of Stevia or good quality honey
7- Milk-raw or coconut milk
8-Zevia-My boyfriend loves this. It's soda made w/Stevia which is all natural. I am still not crazy about the acid in it but if you MUST have soda, this may be a good alternative.
