Eating is a treat not just a necessity!

Eating in the south of France

This salad was found in a cafe in Nice that only sold salad! The top part of the salad was good but you get deeper and realize they doused the lettuce with olive oil-real olive oil. It was a bit much. I do appreciate the thick balsamic vinegar.

My first morning in Mougins, we went into town and picked up our bread, croissants and cheese. We spread some orange marmalade on it. It was delightful!

I love this advertising. No one in this Zurich store spoke English but they had a "Corny Free" treat.

My first dessert in Cannes. One scoop (a French scoop-teeny tiny) of coconut ice cream.

A little cheese snack before dinner at the Villa. This was an olive-brie type cheese with balsamic vinegar. Ya-it rocked!

Ahh... my decedent cheese plate for dinner in Cannes. Each cheese was better than the other. They were all room temperature. None of them had that American 'sharp' flavor. It was more like putting butter on your bread.

One night we walked up to old Mougins just to have dessert. I ordered a warm apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Scrummmmmshus!

Escargots! This is right up there as one of the best things I ate. 2 words-butter and garlic. Y.U.M.

The coffee in France is about the size of 2 shots. And it feels that way after just one-drunk yet?

Even Zurich wants some NY pizza!
2 cafe lattes in Zurich after only 3 hours sleep does the opposite effect. But they were so good!!
